I need some help with this situation urgently.
I have windows2000 on a PC. I have shared the Internet
connection using an ADSL modem. I also have a laptop that
has Windows XP PRo. I have two Internet dial-up
connections on it. The computers are networked, when I go
to use the Internet through my laptop by double clicking
the IE icon, I get my default dial-up come up, and i
cannot use the Internet through the network. I also seem
to have a different IP address on the laptop.

How do I get around this issue.

Thank you
Regards

On the laptop, open Internet Explorer, click Tools | Internet Options
| Connections, and select "Never dial a connection".

When you want to connect the laptop to the Internet through a dial-up
connection, manually start the dial-up connection before running
Internet Explorer.
