internet sharing & proxy

hi
my win2k adv server become almost halt upon sharing my
internet either through ICS or proxy, in task manager many
sevices start taking cpu time even task manager goes up to
56%. but upon disconnecting from sharing it at once become
norml.

i need helping tip in this regard.
initially i thought it as viru activity , but it is not.

It's sounds as if some client on the inside may be infected with a trojan or virus. When the Internet connection was shared, the
client started scanning the Internet for other machines to infect. On the server, install Network Monitor. This can be installed from
Control Panel>Add/Remove Programes>Add/Remove Windows Components>Management and Monitoring Tools>Network
Monitor Tools. You will be prompted for the CD or the I386 directory. Install Netmon using the defaults. You'll want to trace on
the internal NIC of the server. When netmon is launched for the first time it prompts for the NIC. In the Local computer section is
will list each NIC by the NICs mac address. Take a trace while this problem is happening. Based on the info in the trace you
should be able to determine the source of the traffic and then address the problem at that machine.
