Currently my desktop pc connects to the internet via a wifi adapter
from a router in another room.
The problem I have is that there is an imac next to my desktop that I
cannot for some reason connect via wifi because it has os9 and I cannot
get the right drivers.
As I cannot get a wire from my router in the other room, my only choice
is to enable internet connection sharing from my pc to the mac using a
switch. My pc has a wifi adapter which gets the internet and another
wired ethernet card.
When I run the network wizard in XP, it says it will use the wifi
adapter is my internet connection with sharing and my lan card to
connect to the network. I reboot my computer and the sharing is
unselected and my mac won't pick up the internet, when I re-enable the
sharing it still doesn't seem to work. I then tried with my ibook with
os10 that didn't work either, but I know that it picks up internet
automatically because it works when I plug it into my router.
If anyone can give me some ideas I would be very greatful,
Cheers,
Tim.
