Internet Security Suites?

I like Trend Micro's PC-cillin. It's much better than NIS2005.

Yes.

The reviews I've read say that F-Secure is the best, but Trend has WIFI and
home network protection, both of which would be good for me. However,
Trend's anti-spam is supposed to be rubbish. F-Secure's virus, spam and
spyware are supposed to be better than Trend's, but the wifi and network
specific features make Trend attractive to me. I am just trying to find out
some thoughts really, f-secure vs trend, where f-secure is supposed to
perform better, but trend has wifi, which I use to run my home network, so
this specific feature is attractive. So, go for f-secure, and sacrifice the
wifi specific features, or go with trend? That is the more interesting
question.

Never used F-secure but I use Trend on several PCs. As for spam, I have
no interest in downloading it so my AV package can scan it - I get it
killed or bounced at my ISP (along with 99% of the viruses too).

F-Secure is a better product all around... If you've properly
configured you're wireless access point you don't need Trends Wi-Fi
Intrusion Detection.

I have WPA enabled, is that enough? I also have the management console for
the router passworded.

About f-secure, do you know it to be a worthwile product then? I currently
run a number of products, the usual freebies, AVG, Spybot and Adaware, but
was looking for an intergrated package. Do you think f-secure is a good way
to go? Thanks.

I generally recommend enabling WEP or WPA, using MAC filtering and
turning off SSID broadcast.

Yes... I've been using F-Secure's anti-virus products at home and work
for about 7 years now. Suffices to say I'm very happy with it.

Your welcome.
