internet resets computer

Hello,

Strange problem here. When i connect to the internet using internet explorer it resets my computer. The help section on home xp says it is a driver error but when i check the system hardware i don't see any problem? any idea on how to resolve? thanks,

I had a virus that did that. It would run for a little then announced it was shutting down. I got Mcfee virus scan, after that no problems.
 
Is it right when you open Internet Explorer that it restarts, or does a
message appear stating that the system will shut down in 60 seconds?
