Hi,

I connect to the internet using Dial-Up networking. 4 days ago I updated
Windows XP with the last service pack, and since then I have been unable to
surf the web or check my email. Outlook Express says that it is unable to
find my email server. My computer still connects to the internet, but when
I start Internet Explorer I receive the following error.

Natural language selection

Run-time error 91;
Object variable or with block variable not set.

I am not sure if the service pack had anything to do with my problem. If
you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Darrel

Hi

I saw your post and was relieved to see that someone else was having the same problem that we are having. I am not glad that you are having the problem, I am just glad that we don't have something that no one has ever heard of. We just got hooked up through Charter Pipeline High Speed Internet. We had been using dial-up internet thru AOL. This had came up a few times before but we would close it and continue with no problem. Now when we try to get online through Internet Explorer the same error comes up and when we close it out the cursor starts flashing and the page shut off after about 10 seconds. I was wondering if you found out how to fix this. If you could give us any help we would appreciate it very, very much. We called Charter and they said that it was in the computer program. So if you could help it would be wonderful

Thank you in advance
Tina

Hi Darrel,

Try to uninstalll and reinstall the drivers for the modem.
If this fails, consider doing a System Restore to the time before the
trouble appeared.

Good luck

Hi,

I have done a System Restore to a time before the trouble appeared and still
have the problem. But I will try the modem driver and see if it helps.

Thanks,
Darrel
