I recently formatted my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop and installed all th
drivers. But, for some reason, the computer will not connect to th
internet. The network connections menu reads that the wireles
connection is enabled, but says it is sending/receiving 0 packets.
then click on the support tab, and all of the items read "unavailable
and cannot find an IP address. Any help is appreciated, thanks

You didn't say from where you got the drivers. One of the annoying things
about Dell's website is that there are usually multiple drivers for
hardware. My guess is that you chose the wrong drivers and you don't have
whatever adapter you thought you had. If you got the drivers from Dell's
website and you had a choice of adapters, pick the other one.

Hi
As mentioned above make sure that you have the correct drivers and the

follow this process.
For wire, http://www.ezlan.net/debug.html
For Wireless, http://www.ezlan.net/wireless,html

I checked the drivers in the device manager and they are installed
correctly. The wireless connection is enabled, but I cannot connect to
the internet. I noticed in device manager though, that there was a
yellow question mark beside the Network Controller device and it said
the driver for this was not installed. The thing is, I do not know how
to install the driver for this device if the computer won't allow me to
get on the internet. I put the driver cd into the drive and tried to
have the computer install the missing driver through the cd, but that
didn't work. Is there a way to find out what driver I am missing to
download it from another computer and install that way?

Hi
If there is a "Ghost" under Network Adapters then the Network card is Not
installed correctly, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost
The links in my previous post explain what to do.
Find out from the documentation the make of your card, and use a friend's
computer/connection to the Internet to obtain the drivers.
