internet properties & email on WinXp home

Hi, my problem is internet explorer does not link with outlook express. When
I am on internet explorer and click the toolbar for mail, nothing happens.
This used to automatically launch outlook express. On internet properties,
under programmes, there is now nothing listed for email and when I try to
update this - there is nothing allowing me to do so. I have checked all
settings and they are fine. I have also tried to system restore back to a
date when it worked but it keeps saying it cannot restore to this date (or
any other it seems!)Can anyone help me with this. thanks

Click Start, Run and type the following commands one by one:

"%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /REG

regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

Thanks for answering! The second command said succeeded. The web address you
included is not working??

Got thro to link and in registry DLLPath to Msoe.dll is there but default
states REG_SV (value not set). As the link only shows how to set DLLPath ,
can you assist me with this problem??? Thanks

Deb,

Double-click (default) and type "Outlook Express"

Repeat the same in the following key also:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail

If that does not help, give this utility a try:
