Windows XP Internet Problems

When i plug in my Broadband modem it comes up as a plug and play device bla bla bla and says its installed. When i go onto the internet i can be surfing for no more than about 30 seconds until it stops working. The connection just stops. The Data lights etc are still on on the modem. I have tried using different internet explorer's and have rang my ISP they have checked the connection and said it is fine.

Is the rest of your computer working as it should? You may have some spyware/virus that is causing this or the modem isn't working properly.

Did this problem just start, and is it consistant?
 
The rest of the computer is working fine. Its just the internet. I have run a spyware & Adware scan and there were no files found. It just seemed to start. It hasn't been working since thursday.
