When I initially lauch IE the connection seems fine. Then
when I start to access other pages it slows way down.
The only thing that seems to make it better is double or
triple clicking on the icon or address I'm trying to
load. Any ideas?

Have you cleaned out your Tmeporary Internet Files (cache)
lately?.

Go to tools->Internet Options. Click on "Delete Files" in
the middle of the window. Click yes. Whe the hourglass is
gone, click ok. Close IE and reopen it. If that doesn't
help try going to internet options again then "Settings".
Try putting the "Amount of disk Space to use:" to
something like 50MB. If that still doesn't work talk to
your ISP. You may need to manually assign your ISP's DNS
(Domain Name Service) numbers to TCP/IP.
