I have a wireless adsl router. I can connect to the
router across a wireless connection but windows will not
access the internet using this connection. When I connect
to the router using ethernet I can access the internet!
What am I missing?

the first question I always ask is if you can ping a web site. if not, check
ipconfig /all to post it here.

I can ping when the LAN cable is connected. When the
wireless is connected there is no response. (Unable to
reach)

The IP's are currently allocated by the router and so
change on reboot. I have tried fixed IP's but to no
avail.

The WLAN works from peer to peer and also from machine to
router, I just cant get internet access across the WLAN.
:(

Thanks for any help

I have the same problem!!!

Mine is slightly different however....when using wireless
from my laptop, I can use Internet Explorer, but Windows
Messenger, Outlook, and Windows do not detect an internet
connection...???
