My computer went haywire from a web site. The general tab
was removed from the options menu. Thus since I've
installed IE 6.0 but it still doesn't fix the problem.
Ican not sset my home page or delete page history. Does
anyone know how i can fix this. I have even reinstalled my
OS and that didn't even fix the problem.

.
This all started with IE 5.5 That's why i went with IE
6.0 . By the way, the web site was www.global-finder.com
Anything you try to search for on this site sends you to
porn pages and the only way to get them off is to restart
yoour system causing a system scan for improper shutdown

You've got CWS Hijacker. See:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/cws/

Remove it with CWShredder:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
Unpack and run CWShredder.exe. Insure that all Internet Explorer windows
are closed.

Read the following pages to get advice on how to remove and to stop it
happening again:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Get and update then run frequently after checking for new updates:
