If I click OK or apply in internet options, IE hangs.

I tried a sloution I saw for a similar problem:

regsvr32 /n /i inetcpl.cpl

and rebooted but no luck.

Any ideas? I have searched and searched and cant find a solution.
uninstalled spybot.

The impetus was disabling the VMs Java and Win dues to intermittent slow
page loads. I was going to then reboot and just enable just Win. and the
reboot.
I figured out how to manually EnableJit in HKCU registry am about to reboot
to 'push' that setting. but thought I would post this first.

Oh yeah, this is Development Win Server 2003 Enterprise that came with my
VS.2003 Ent. Arch. with all windows updates applied. I can't pinpoint
eacatly when this happened. Though the slow page load has been going on for
a while.
Experienceing the same slow page load on my XP Pro laptop too. . .

thanks!!!

Do you have two machines to compare, one with the problem and
the other working normally but otherwise identical? If so you might
find it useful to trace .dll activity on each machine for a particular
short test scenario. Use FileMon to do the trace and filter very coarsely.
(It may take you a few trial runs to figure out what good filter criteria may be
for your test scenario.)

Good luck
