Internet Options General Tab

I installed some updates for Windows ME, and now I can not
view the General tab in Internet Options...

I tried unistalling and reinstalling Interner Explorer,
and no matter what I do I can't get that tab back...

Anybody have any ideas...???

You have spyware/parasite/hijacker. Temporary fix is to use regedit.exe and
delete key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel" and
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel" with all subkeys. The parasite will propably hide the general tab
again, if you don't get rid of it.

Restore All tabs in IE and Removes the ** Internet Options ** Restrictions
as well


The problem is due to a spyware. Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com,
scan the system and eliminate the malware products. Re-apply the above fix
if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
