I am just wondering if anybody knows about this problem...I keep turning on
the Windows Firewall in the interrnet options and just about every other time
I connect It uncheck marks the box for it to be on and I have to go in and
aturn it on. Is there any way for it to stay on always?
Thanks for any helpM

I don't know the answer but don't use Beta 7. You won't be able to use IE any
more and the windows explorer search function won't work until you reinstall
some .dll files that the beta release erases. Not only that, but Microsoft
won't help you until you give them all kinds of information that is not
pertinent to the problem. Opera and Firefox are better anyway and now they
are both free!

Thanks!

When all else fails, HijackThis
v1.99.1(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to
use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware.

Unfortunately, that advice is, most likely, irrelevant to the OP's
problem. Normally, disabling the software is a malware issue, not a beta
software issue.

While we are on the subject of beta software, you _are_ aware, are you
not, that beta software is for testing? If you aren't prepared to
encounter bugs, and report them properly, you have no business running
beta software.

Are you running a security suite with its own firewall? If so, it should be
turning off the Windows Firewall.
