Mommio2

Hi! I did a really dumb thing! For the past week I have been working
furiously to remove some spyware parasites from my system. In all the
loading, unloading, and changing settings, somewhere along the line I
remember clicking when asked if I wanted to protect my IE home page from
being changed. Now, I can not get into Internet Options in IE and I can't
remember what I clicked! When I try, I get the message, "Operation
cancelled due to restrictions...Contact computer administrator". Does
anyone have any idea what I did?!! Thanks!

And the reason you don't identify the anti-spyware utilities that you used
which probably have this lockout function would be?

If using SpywareGuard, it will protect the home page for IE. Don't know
about it locking out IE options, however. If using SpyBot, it has an IE
control panel lockout. I don't remember if Ad-Aware has an IE control panel
lockout.

Pretty tough to diagnose what you might've done with anti-spyware when you
choose to omit the names of the software you used!
