Internet Opitons - can not access, flashes once and goes away

My Internet Explorer is working other than when I try to go to "internet
options" on the menu bar. When I double click on it, I can see it flash on
for a split second and then it goes away.

Try the following and see if it helps:

Internet Options Lock Out -

If you have SpyBot S & D installed, go to SpyBot - Search and Destroy
Immunize, and UNcheck the "Lock IE Control Panel..." box.

Restrictions error while opening Internet Options

If you have troubles with your browser not having all the controls in the
expected places download and run this .reg file.

Hmmm...I'm not sure that if you deleted Spybot it would continue the
lockout. I'll check it out with a fewof the SpyBot experts and get back to
you.

Ok....I have some more information for you, but, I think you should go to
the SpyBot forum thread where I posted for clarification on this issue. It
gives some pretty detailed information on what can happen with SpyBot and
how to deal with it, and also, how AdAware can help with the situation.

I really thought it best to give you the link and let you have contact with
the responder personally, as you may have other questions, or need further
help from them. You will need to register to post there, but, you don't
