internet mail pop

i am having a hard time understanding why outloox express
is having a hard time remembering my password whenever i
want to send or receive email

i have gone through the process of setting up to remember
my password, but i keep experiencing the same thing .

i run winxp with ms-outlook .... is there a download
patch for this ?

please help
