I have just installed (not upgraded) Vista and I now find that every time I
log in to my ISP I have to type in the password( there is no box to save
password)

Yes there is Barrie. Try this:
Go into your Windows Mail.
Select: Tools
Select: Accounts
Select your ISP Server, then click on properties.
Select: Server tab
Then click on the "remember Password" box

Hope this helps!

Need more details.
What do you mean by "I log in to my ISP"?
What program are you using when this happens?

I "think" churchst is simply trying to access the internet (as opposed to a
WinMail problem).
Anyhow - the "Remember Password" check box is via the Server Properties
pannels, whichever route one takes to get to it. (dont you think?. There
again Gary, you are the expert, so I might be missing something)

If the answer that Parvaiz gave you does not work then post back. That should do the trick

I have the same problem

Wanadoo Broadband ADSL
using speed touch dialer

I click on the dial up shortcut and the box comes up with no password in it.
First attempt to connect to internet fails (as there is no password in box)
I then type in password and connect no problem.
With XP there was a remember password option but i can't find one with Vista

I have the same problem Every time i try to connect to my Broadband provider
(adsl) using my speed touch dialer.

i click on the dial up shortcut and it tries to dial up with no password
which then fails

I then type in password and connect as normal no problem.

XP used to have the option to remember password but i can't find it in Vista

That is an Internet connection problem which is beyond the scope
of this newsgroup. You really need to call your ISP because you
are paying them good money for their service and support.

The ADSL I use has no login at the computer because
a) it is on 24/7, and
b) the login is done in the modem or the router.
