How do I configure my internet gateway in Network Connections?

Internet gateway is an icon that shows up whenever you install a
broadband network router that supports Universal Plug and Play
(uPNP.) You should not truly need this icon as with most broadband
routers, you can directly modify the configuration either via the
unit's internal Web pages or telnet access.

May be you should consider a further explanation about what are the
Internet/Hardware/software involved.
