Hi All,

I have internet Free/Busy configured on multiple systems to post to an FTP
folder. This is working great.

One of the machines, however, is no longer able to view others' calendars
and is unable to properly post its .vfb file. The server destination shows a
file with 0 bytes (empty) for that user.

Furthermore, when I exit Outlook, it remains resident in memory.

I tried using logging, but the logcalb# file is encrypted and the OPMLog.log
file does not contain anything pertinent to Free/Busy.

Any clues for what I could try next?

Thanks!

Thanks Brian. I should ellaborate a bit.

It looks like the MAPI processes are holding it open if it had attempted to
publish free/busy information. If I open Outlook and close it without
attempting to send free/busy data, it will close without issue.

Did you check for the things mentioned in the web page I cited? Did you try
safe mode?

I did it all. I removed all add-ins, no external apps are driving Outlook,
and I ran it in safe mode.

Outlook will unload from safe-mode, but I will note that Free/Busy is
disabled.

My assumption is that the free/busy publishing process is either hanging or
being held up, thus keeping Outlook from closing. I'm just not sure how to
go about tracing it or debugging it, or even reinstalling whatever components
are related to it.
