some how an internet site has managed to place a program
into my system that allows it to start internet explorer
by its self and at the same time it changes my start and
home page. the home page will also be changed any time i
restart my computer. how can you go about finding this
and correcting it,

the phantom program does not show in the program or
system process pages on the task manager.

help please

And do this very regularly too !

If Adaware does not work, try SpyBot.
If neither work, do a Google on 'lop.com'
They introduce some foul processes which can be a b*stard to get rid of,
but Googling will take you to pages which can help further.
