When viewing files from internet explorer /view change view to details, then,
you exit out of internet explorer, the view reverts back to icon view. Can
you make the file view in internet explorer to accept the view changes?

Greetings:

It sounds like you are referring to Windows Explorer, and not Internet
Explorer. If that is the case, close all bu ONE of your Windows Explorer
windows, and then you will want to apply your setting changes (such as view
details, and sort order). After you have your settings the way you prefer,
go to the Tools menu, and select 'Folder Options...'

From there, select the 'View' tab, and then click the 'Like Current Folder'
This will make all of your folders appear the way you currently have your
folder view configured.

If you only want to change the settings for one folder, and not ALL folders,
scroll down in the Advanced Settings for the View tab, and make sure
'Remember each folder's view settings' is checked.

Hope that helps. Good Luck.

My question was for Internet Explorer because I use internet Explorer to
view folders on my local drive. When you have web pages diplayed you do not
have the option for tool view and then change the folder settings but thanks

provide the view that I was looking for. sorry so winded but I did want to
thank you; and your advice was correct.
