i cannot access certain webpages through internet
explorer 6.0 and it has been acting like this since
saturday and i am a college student and my roommate is
able to access all webpages. i tried all kinds of things
and i wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions.

check for update first.

Close all instances of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express,

This is probably being caused by a third-party program
(adware, spyware,
parasite)

Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items
listed in red.)
