I am unable to access Internet Explorer. When I try to
open the programme, the explorer window opens and closes
immediately. I then get the following message:

The instruction at "0x77fca832" referenced memory
at "0x4d454d50". The memory could not be "written".

What could be the problem?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
