All of a sudden, IE will not allow me to access Google or
other search engines. I also now have a "block this
site" option located in "tools" on the toolbar option.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Check for a qhost process, might be a trojan that we've had
an advisory about at work. It blocks access to google and
other search engine.

You are not alone, I installled SBC Yahoo DSL software
onto my system and suddenly I have the same problem

Looks like a Trojan Horse virus. Look at Symantec, they
have a tool posted for Qhosts.Trojan.....Also another
patch from Microsoft needed.
