When working in IE6, I got the message:
(In Dutch): A fault has occurred in IEEXPLORE.EXE and must
be closed.
More information on screen: AppName:ieexplore.exe,
AppVer:6.0.2600.0 ModName:iebf.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset:000143ce

Since then, every time, when I try to start up, I get the
same message.
The connection via the modem is OK, can send Emails via
Outlook Express no problem.
Downloaded IE and other tools and installed, no joy.
Did a complete re-installation of Windows XP, no joy.

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks

try this!!!!!
To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in
Internet
Explorer
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser
extensions
(requires restart) check box.
5. Restart Internet Explorer.

If this helps, read here for further troubleshooting:
