Internet Explorer won't start

I am running Windows XP and Internet Explorer Version 6.

When I connect to the internet and try to open Internet
Explorer it wont open and keeps bringing up an error-
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close".

I have sent off response and tried repair of IE to no
avail.

Can anyone help please?

This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
