internet explorer won't open up

My internet explorer won't open up from the task bar and
the desktop. I have to go to My Computer and then go to
internet explorer to open it and then it works fine. I
think there might be a virus because it takes a long time
to open and load up pages now.

Virus you should deal with.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
