IE6 will connect to the internet but will not open any
site. Netscape works well but IE always returns a DNS
cannot find site error. Other users on this computer do
not have the same issues. The internet connections have
all been verified. There is an entry in the register that
states "failed". This has been an intermittant problem but
now seems permanent. AOL is installed. The instant
messenger works but the AIM today window does not. If it
does, the IE will work.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
