Internet Explorer will not open ANY websites

Internet Explorer 6 will not open ANY websites at all.

I have no firewalls, I've gone through all the routine setup, but IE, outlook expresswill not open and I can not send mail from Outlook Express, nor can I browse from IE6.

hi!
can you ping a website? typ "ping www.microsoft.com" at
command prompt.

if this doesn't work (destination unreachable) it
is either that you're not connected to the internet
or your computer doesn't know the DomainNameServer.

so try:" ping 80.67.74.63" if this gets you a reply
it is because you ARE connected but your computer
can't resolve www.microsoft.com to ip number which
is what the computer needs to connect to.
in this chase call your ISP and ask for the adresse
of primary and secondary DNS and enter this in
Network settings for your adaptor under TCP/IP settings.

if you have router you can enter these values there too...

I would suggest contact your Internet Service Provider as they will be able to assist you
with checking settings, etc.
