Hello

I have just gotten new cable internet service (Comcast).
I therefore uninstalled my old dial-up ISP (CompuServe).
Now all of the HTML documents which I have downloaded
over time have switched icons from the Compuserve icon to
the Internet Explorer icon. However, Internet Explorer
seems unable to open these files. I get a window saying
that Cs.exe is missing and is needed to open them.

How can I get IE to open these files? Or does this mean
I have lost all of them?

Thanks,
Tom

I have just discovered that I can right click on the icon
and select "open with IE" , but I have to do this for
each file. I have hundreds of files, isn't there a
setting which would accomplish this for all HTML files?
Thanks again,
Tom

Yes. Right click on the file again, go to "Open With", then select "Choose
Program". Scroll down to Internet Explorer, then make sure you check the
little checkbox which makes IE the default program. Now this filetype (I'm
assuming just plain html and htm docs) are associated with IE.

Yep, Ken. Thanks a lot; that does the trick. -Tom
