Internet explorer tool bar

I lost the backward and forward arrows on the upper tool
bar and also the wireless mouse forward and backward
buttons do not work

How do I reset the tool bar to restore these functions?


Also, I lost a direct connect button to google that also
formerly appeared near the tool bar. Not sure what is
happening.
