Internet Explorer Status Bar

Hi

How do I activate the status bar so it is visible when I open IE. At the
moment, when I open the browser I have to go View > Status Bar - it is not
there my default.

I'd apreciate any pointers.

Once you check the status bar in view it should stay

Try opening IE and click on the staus bar as you have
been, once its showing click on file and hold your
control key as you select close (not the X in the upper
right)Hopefully this will save the setting?

Open Windows Explorer, enable the Status Bar and then go to Tools>Folder Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. This will enable the Status Bar in IE as well.
 
Make sure it is selected when you close IE (all instances)
and it should be there when you open it agian.

Status Bar in IE as well.
