I have strted to get intermittent "bloop" sounds in
Internet Explorer 6, SP1. When I go to Control Panel
sound properties it offers no choices for IE program
events. How can I silence it?

As Ramesh has said. BUT, if you are using PestPatrol, it will make a really
annoying Bloop sound each time it crunches a Spyware cookie if you are
running the Cookie Patrol.exe.

If so, disable the sound by R-Clicking the Taskbar PP icon>cookie
patrol>disable sound. OR, you may access the PP files in C:\Program files
and rename the cookiecrunch.wav to cookiecrunch.old wav (or make a new .wav
file of your own as a replacement).

If you are not showing the PP icon in Systray, because you don't permit it
to load at start-up, then R-Click the shortcut>properties>find target, and
then proceed.
