Internet Explorer Shuts down by itself after web page opens

This happens from time to time with different web sites.
It is not isloated to a paticular site.

go into tools, internet options, advanced. Check to see
if Jave 2 v1.3.1_02 for applet is checked. I was having
this problem and I unchecked it because I had JIT
compiler for virtual machine enabled, and I was able to
open web pages that previously would close themselves
before completing the page. I hope this helps.
