I run XP Pro. After two years, I have lost the ability to activate some
"buttons" with Internet Explorer. The only error message I have been given
comes from Yahoo Mail indicating that my browser settings will not allow
automatically moving to a new URL. This is preventing me from using
Microsoft websites and contacting Earthlink via e-mail, chat, etc., as well
as limited use of Yahoo and others.
How do I correct this problem. Thanks.

Hi

I'm not very sure what you mean by "buttons". If you mean the toolbar icons on the top, you can get them back this way

Solution
Right-click on the toolbar, select "Customize". Click on "Default" for the Default set of browser buttons

The second problem about "browser settings will not allow automatically moving to a new URL" is probably due to your security settings. Your security settings for the Internet Zone are set too high, which prevents some sites from working.

Solution
Go to Internet Options->Security->Internet and set the security level at Default. Also, if your browser pops up a message whether you want to accept a cookie, you should say "Yes" if you want to proceed on the current site you are browsing. Many sites will fail to work correctly if you do not accept cookies.

Computers only work with the info you give them. If you don't feed the
