Hi Bird,
Make sure the shares are enabled and not blocked by the firewall or disabled.
Also make sure the machine clean by scanning.
The sharing relationships between Windows Media Connect and DMR devices no
longer work after you install Windows Media Player 11

I get an error when I try to install Windows Media Connect. What can I do?

Can I completgely delete WMP 11 from the ffolder and install WMP 10.

I have the WMP 11 run time and that is preventing me to roll back to 10 or

Hi Bird,
Yes, you can but why going to a clean install and you can repair the system
and keep all the settings intact?.
Did you run this command:
open a run command and type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK] you will need XP CD handy.

If you have IE7 installed (Internet Explorer 7) you need to uninstall it if
you going to Repair/Install XP.
Backup your Data on a removable Media like CD/DVD or External Hard drive,
Flash stick..etc.
Here is a link on how to perform a repair/reinstall:

On what webpage do you get this script error and how does the error affect
your download of the license update?

What anti-virus application are you running? What third-party firewall
might you be running? What anti-spyware applications might you be running?

Dear All

Thank you for yor help

BUT

I do not have a firewall turned on

I do not have anti virus turned on

I do not have spy ware turned on

I have turned off de bugging for scripts, etc etc

I am using IE 6, but the BIGGEST issue is WMP 11 and that stupid
WMP run time 11.

I am on XP Pro

The script error is

Internet Explorer Script error

Line 16

Char 1

Object Expected

Code 0

I have a Lap TOP on XP but IE 6 , but the good thing I have WMP 10.

Because of WMP 10 I can down load my Digital Media Right license with no
problem.

HOW can I delete WMP 11 from the system and install WMP 10?

Well, running in that environment might *be* the problem!

Uninstalling WMP 11 via Add/Remove Programs should return you to WMP 10.

Is ther a patch or fix that I can download to fix IE 6

I went through MS WeB site for IE script errors. I did everything that MS
said I shoudl do or might be causing the problem, Like turn off spy ware ,
virus protection,
turn off de bugging for scripts, etc, etc etc,

You see on my lap top, I have XP Pro, IE 6, and anti virus , spy ware ,etc
etc etc, BUT THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS I AM USING WMP 10.

On my desk top I have WMP11 but I have that stupid WMP run tiemformat 11.

According to MS if that has been installed it delete WMP 10 and I can not
roll back.

How can I delete WMP 11? CAn I go into DOS and delete the files?

Or is there a fix or patch for IE 6?
