Internet Explorer "Save Picture As" options

I am trying to help someone who wants to specify which
is the default option for saving pictures being viewed
with "Save Picture As" in the right-click menu when
viewing a picture on the web with Internet Explorer.
She apparently has only "Untitled" as a name and ".bmp"
as a type, whereas I have more options on mine, and
other computers (running XP) are different.

Can anyone tell me how to specify what options are
available and how to specify which to use for default?

Empty the Temporary Internet Files directory- it's probably full, and
affects the formats Windows will save pics in.
