Al Montemore

I recently restored my CPU and noticed that when I open IE the toolbar icons
and addressbar keep going to their default positions. If I remember
correctly their was a patch for this and I can't find it on the net.

Thanks Al

If I open up IE the window is small and the addressbar is on the bottom and
the toolbar icons have text and the links are hidden. Now if I put
everything the way I want it and close the window then open it again
everything goes back to default. There was a patch that I downloaded that
remembered the last settings. This patch came from the Microsoft IE site but
it was real hard to find. I thought some one here would know where to find
it.

No I don't have to. It seems there is a patch for HP and Compaq PC's. But
there is also a reg. fix, I guess if you don't have one of these cpu's. This
is a great site helped me on some questions.

I don't understand "I think you do and should". If you are referring that I
should download this app. I already fix it with a patch from this site
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00059793&dlc=en&lang=en .
I have the Windows Media Edition from HP which has Win Prof. Thanks anyway.

Not to change the subject, I see that you are MS MVP-Windows (IE/OE). What
is the best way to backup Outlook Express (current
emails, newsgroups, addressbook, folders)? Is there an app. or a file I can
save this with?

Thanks again, AL
