Internet Explorer Restrictions to Options

W

William Reuter

I have two clients that called today because they cannot
get into Internet options through the Tools pull-down
menu. They receive an error stating that the operation
was cancelled due to restrictions on the computer and to
see their administrator. They do not have any
restrictions in place and they are able to go through
control panel to access the Internet options.

They both have the latest service packs and are using up
to date anti-virus software.

Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing this?

Thank-you,
William Reuter

William,
Did you by chance run SpyBot's Immunize feature?

Thanks for the tip. That was the problem in both cases.
I had loaded Spybot, but I never activate those
settings. My clients must have turned them on and I
forgot all about them being there. Thanks again.
