Internet Explorer randomly crashes

(I am new to this "News group" thing, just so you know...)
I don't know where to start with this problem. I don't have spyware, adware,
or viruses of any kind.
IE randomly freezes and does not resume on some sites.
I have IE 6
OS: Windows XP
I meet all of the requirements.
Where do I start with figuring out what the problem is?

HI, you need Repair/Reinstall for IE on how to do that read this article:

or you can Open the RUN command and type: sfc /scannow click OK and get
your XP CD handy.

I have already tried reinstalling.
I cannot reinstall Windows XP, I only have a restore CD.

There should be an i386 folder on your hard drive. You should be able to
run sfc /scannow and point sfc to that folder instead of a CD.
