I suddenly have this problem in IE using 2000 professional all updates
applied. I found an article saying there is a hot fix but do not know how to
get it. Any help ???
Thanks
Hey Bruce,
Not sure if ths is what you are talking about but some hotfixes only
address a very special problem (such as the one you might be having
with IE). In this case, these hotfixes are not released via a direct
internet download from Microsoft servers. You must contact MS
technical support (there should be a link to MS Support telephone
numbers and other contact information somewhere in the Hotfit KB
article) and they will e-mail you the hotfix setup file upon
confirming that the hotfix will indeed fix your specific problem.
Sometimes there are charges for this type of help (unless you have
some sort of maintanance plan with MS). I don't know the details of
the billing structure and conditions when contacting MS. You probably
need to look that up on the MS site. MVPs?
Hope this helps.
