Internet Explorer Problems

I use my business laptop (XP Pro) at home on a wireless network (DSL). When
I am at work browsing is fine. Internet explorer opens quickly and connects
quickly. When I am at home, internet explorer opens slowly and it takes
forever for it to connect to websites. I'm pretty sure my network is
operatign properly because other computers on the network operate properly.
Also, when I enter an address in the address line, Internet explorer locks up
for about 30 seconds before it accepts the address and starts trying to
connect to the site.

I have performed download tests and get positive downlaod upload results so
my DSL is working properly. Can anyone offer help?

Thanks

Hi P.

Slow typing in the Address bar indicates a malware infection. Are you using
different accounts on your laptop for work and home?

Test by logging on to your home network with a different user account. Since
it is a work computer you should consult with your network administrators on
removing any malware.

Regards.
