internet explorer problem

Down loading web page takes long time, i checked the
speed (using Broad Band) upstream is 238 Kbps and down
stream is 27Kbps. Not using any fire wall using win xp
and ie 6.0.

another querry

in ie under help about ie no version, no cipher strength
is displayed.

Please send answer for this

Mike, that article doesn't apply to his OS.
Also it doesn't address his symptom of
not seeing his version in Help, About.

My guess is that MSKB 318378 is the only choice.
However, if he had IE6sp1 installed separately he could
alternatively try an IE Repair (e.g. as described by MSKB 194177)
