Hi,

I don't know if this is the right group in which to ask this question. If
not, feel free to redirect me.

I've noticed in my website's statistics that when I visit the site my
browser tag is listed as "Mozilla/4.0 compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0;
sureseeker.com; HomePage; .NET CLR 1.0.3705"

My question is, is there any way I can change this information? I think the
sureseeker.com part is left over from a virus/trojan and I'd like to get rid
of it. Is this information contained in the registry and is it modifiable?

Thanks in advance!

Andrew

Actually, I think I got it...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\User Agent\ Post Platform

You might want to Google on "sureseeker". One link is
http://cert.uni-stuttgart.de/archive/incidents/2000/10/msg00226.html

Tools like Ad-Aware and SpyBot Search & Destroy may be able to deal
with it (but not confirmed).
