INTERNET EXPLORER NOT OPENING

Wondering if anyone has had this problem, have a dell,windows xp and ie 6.0,
two users names, when we go into the main admin user, the user logs on to
worldnet and the IE automatically pops up then disappears, when we try to
double click the IE icon, it automatically disappears, anyone know how to fix
this? Also in the Task Manager, it says running for a brief moment then not
repsonding and disappears(ie that is)..thanks for any help

You might be infested with malware.
