Internet Explorer Keeps closing

Hi, I'm in need of help with my internet explorer. When I open it and click
on a link or try to minimize that window to open another window with
internet express, the first one disappears.
Does anyone know what I have to do to correct this problem?
I'd appreciate any help I could get. I am not the most computer literate
person in the world.......

What is internet express,xp uses explorer.Either way,usually opening multiple
web pages,or the unability to,deals with youre display adapter.You can get
the
brand name by opening system properties,display adapter,then go to the mfg
web site and update drivers/software.If all is ok,then you might have a
memory
issue,or lack of memory-purchase more ram memory for the board.

From an Internet Explorer window, click Tools> Internet Options> Advanced.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "reuse windows to launching
shortcuts." NOTE: You can also get to Internet Options through Control
Panel.

Or right click on the new link and select Open in New Window.
