My Internet Explorer is malfunctioning. When you open a new window, it
alway goes to
www.magicsearch.ws even after you just changed the home page.
If you try to go to any website (example:
www.yahoo.com) it goes to
www.magicsearch.ws every single time. The only way to actually use the
internet is to write part of the website and then click on the options that
appear bellow. Also in favorites there are 6 links that appeared. I
deleted them endless times and the reappear in no time. McAfee scan doesn't
find anything. Adaware (a really good spyware search and destroy program)
finds 18 files called Internet Explorer Sabotage Attempt every time you scan
even after you delete them. I erased my cookies and temporary files.
Nothing works!!!!! Somebody please help me.

One useful bit of software not mentioned by Jaks is "Hijack This".
Instructions for this software are below (as posted by somebody else in
response to a problem I had). It will show you a lot of details about IE. In
my case, I was able to recognize the problem (an extra toolbar) and delete
it.

Hi William,
Download the utility CWshredder:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
Unzip - close *all* instances of IE & OE, hit the executable and
follow
the prompts.
You can also download Hijack This from here:
http://www.mjc1.com/files/merijn/hijackthis.exe
Go here:
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/
For instructions on how to use it; you have to post the log it
produces so experts tell you what is good and what is malware
Try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.
Ad-aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Spybot S&D
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download
If these don't correct the problem, then get yourself a copy of
BHODemon, available at
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm .
It does not need installing - simply unzip and run the EXE program. It
is easy to use. It will find the hijackware DLL files, and give you
the ability to disable them.
Good luck, hope this helps.
