Can you go back and review all Internet Explorer history for let's say the
past 2 years. Where would this info be held?
If IE was set to clean out every 20 days, would it be possible to still get
a 2 year history?

Not unless you are doing a backup.

Thanks for the reply. When you mean backup, do you mean the entire hard drive?
Because from what I understand, if the Internet Explorer temp files are
cleaned after x number of days, then all traces of them are gone. The
index.dat file would have no record of them - correct.
This would be on a Win2K system.

Your history is stored in your profile in the History folder not in a temporary location. If you back that up then
you could review the history from backup. As for how far back that would go would depend entirely on how
far back your backup goes. If you have no backup your History duration is determined by the settings in IE.
